510 MED head unit with sat nav

Hi there i was wondering if anyone could help me please. I have a 510 MED head unit with sat nav bought from Germany and it all works perfect but i just bought a reverse camera a vw one from Poland and it is all connected but cant activate it. I think it is meant for the 510RMS but been told there is ways around this with either a control module that you could plug in before or after to make it compatible. I was just wondering if anyone could help me or no anything about this??

Theres a tick box on vagcom that says rear camera installed, you may have to tick the box.

Thank's for your help mate, i'm not technical minded but the technician who installed reckons it needs a module or something to go onto the back of the satnav to make it, and camera both compatible ? Help Please

Some cameras need/have a control box/module.
The golf/scirocco reverse cam is made to plug directly into the RNS 510. The RNS 510 just need to be made aware that it is there (VAG-COM setting) and the RNS 510 need to have a wire that gets 12v when You put the car in reverse (part of the wiring loom).

IF your 510 MED is made to copycat the RNS 510, then it might work the same way.
