Bluetooth

Post by skyservant »

Hi,
1st post and I'm on the cadge.

I've just bought my self a 09 scirocco and it as the 'RCD510' installed and I would like to fit the VW bluetooth to it.
I am aware there are other threads on this but I'm a little confused as I seem to get lots of answers but not what I want to know?

So can anyone tell me :-

1.Can I get one for my 'red' matrix screen?
2.Cheapest place?
3.Exact part number?

Is it a simple installation because again I cannot seem to get a definitive answer ie where does the module fit- under the driver/passenger seat or in the glove box, do you need to have looms made up and is there a connection already available in the car which you simply just plug in to with mics/speakers already fitted.

I spoke to a company on ebay but they were more interested in selling me a Fiscom, which I do not want.

Cheers

1 Yes
2 ebay (but least safe). I would try a local parts shop, that gives guarantee
3 That depends... Look at the Roccopedia article on fitting "real bluetooth", there is also a link to good explanation

Remember that You need a wiring loom as well. The VW part is only the magic box, because it is meant for hooking up to an existing wiring loom.
