RNS-510 Phone connection

Post by oasispj »

Hi Guys,

First post on here.

Just bought a Rocco and have the RNS-510 installed. I am struggling to get my iPhone connected. I do not have Bluetooth in the car, but have the iPod connections and wondering if I can connect that way?

At the moment my iPod connects and can listen to music, but stuggling to connect the phone on. I press the 'Phone' button and it just says that a phone is not connected.

Thanks for your time guys.

Welcome.
The phone button will not work because, as you say, you do not have bluetooth installed.
The ipod cable that connects into the mdi connection is purely using it as an ipod (music storage device that happens to have an Apple connector) it doesn't matter that is what is actually connected is a phone the mdi connection is only a music storage input connection.
Without Bluetooth installed the phone button just acts as a mute button effectively.
