I Hate Electronics In My Car ! More Weirdness...

Ever since I got a copy of VCDS and the cable my car is acting different, I enabled the alarm beeps and needle sweep and ever since my car does weird stuff that ive never clicked on or changed,

It says DEPRESS CLUTCH on the MFD every time I start the car and it doesnt go away until I Press OK on the MFSW.
Im not talking about the normal message that says "Press Clutch to Start", this one comes up after that.

Also, the indicator of what gear im in in the top corner is inaccurate now, 1,2,3 and 4 are all fine, but when im in 5th it says im in 6th, and when im in 6th, it will say 6th when im accelerating and it will go blank when i take my foot off the accelertor. This didnt happen until I got VCDS.

Another thing it does is, every time I take my foot off the accelerator at cruising pace, the car will jerk like ive just taken my foot off the clutch. :S

And then theres the LEDs I have, one of my rear number plate lights is very intermittent, it only lights up every few days, its usually off :/ and I constantly get a message saying check front left sidelight, but both my sidelights have worked fine since day one.
I have HIDs fitted too, and the Can-Bus system always cuts the power to the righthand one every so often, I used to be able to get it working again, by turning the switch to sidelights then turning on the ignition, now its not coming on at all...

Last thing... If I put my Front fog lights on, they work fine, but if I press the clutch they go off, and they come back on when i lift my foot. Everytime without fail, its kinda like stop/start but for my fog lights.



If anyone can help with any of the above before I go and smash up my ECU, id be very grateful.

Firstly i would ditch the HID's and the LED's and see if the original stuff works OK (in fact throw the HID's away as they are for dic** only LOL), then i would return the car to stock setting and take it back to VW (i assume its under warranty)

I managed to sort some of it out, I unchecked boxes that said something like "Start/Stop function active" and "Depress clutch bypass" or something along those lines.

That's sorted out the clutch/fog lights issue
And the depress clutch message. And I've got my HID working again.
