RCD510 upgraded to RNS510 coding advice please

Hi all, I have a 2011 Scirocco GT Tdi 140 That was fitted with a RCD510. I have recently fitted a RNS510 version c sat nav, which works spot on. The only problem is that I was told when using in sat nav mode, the directions should be displayed in the MFD, which it doesn't. Can someone please advise me on what coding is needed to get this working. Also i will be fitting a fiscon bluetooth in the near future, so would appreciate some coding advice with this too. RNS510 - need to go into gateway controller (9 off top of my head) and select option 37 Navigation - and that will enabled the nav display in the MFD.
Bluetooth - same thing, select option 77 for telephone. But rather than Fiscon, have you looked at retrofit of the VW OEM Bluetooth? I had a Fiscon unit and swapped it out for a OEM unit and that works a lot better than the Fiscon did.

Cheers Guys i`ll try that. Regarding the retrofit OEM VW Bluetooth, where can i get one of these and how much are they ? Also in which way did you find these better ?

You can find plenty of people selling on ebay - get the newest unit 5N0035730D and if you use someone selling the cabling with the unit you'll get voice control added for the RNS510, including be able to use voice control to make calls - something you can't do with the Fiscon. It's just better integrated compared to the Fiscon and I think the quality is better too (especially audio over Bluetooth, it was rubbish on the Fiscon but acceptable over the OEM unit). If you do go down the route of a OEM unit, you'll need to code that and the steering wheel - http://www.my-gti.com/2807/volkswagen-9 ... rogramming" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (this is the same unit as the 5N0 one). Steering wheel needs recoded so that the mic button stops muting the radio and enables the "push to talk" function - in VCDS you can work out which option is required as it's a listed combination.

Hi Guys, Am still having problems. When I go into 19 Can Gateway I don't see anywhere to select 37 Nav. Any ideas ? Thanks

No, just wondering if you had an old version which was restricting you seeing it. It is documented in the Long Coding.
