Ipod Classic and sharp turns

Post by marko_tarrant »

I've had my Scirocco now for about a month and have noticed my iPod Classic 160Gb goes offline occasionally. I've been trying to see if there is any pattern to it and it looks as though a sharp turn takes it out. Has anyone else noticed this? Im wondering if the iPod has some sort of protection to the harddrive and perhaps sudden turns is triggering it. :?

The Classic has, as You note, a spinning harddrive. Have You ever tried to turn/steer a bicycle wheel that is spinning in free air? Hard!
Try to secure the iPod horisontally, then it should not be affected by Your hoonage ;-)
