Diesel odour in cabin

Post by Sanders83 »

Hi all,

I've noticed this a few times but but when driving in the morning I often get a whiff of diesel in the cabin at almost the exact point the water temp needle moves off the bottom (50c). I've read the the EGR activates at this temp.

It also could be a massive coincidence as there has always been a diesel vehicle in front at some point in the queue (wnen isn't there though?)

Has anyone else noticed this or know anything about it?

Cheers

Normally the activated charcoal element of the Pollen Filter absorbs the fumes of traffic. It suggests that there is a something coming into the car a lot stronger than normal. Looked under the bonnet to see if anything is amiss?

Ok, will do. It's just wierd. It might be nothing at all and I may have happened to be behind a diesel car that puffed out a big stink briefly in a traffic queue. I'll have a good poke around.
