Hello,
I am new to this forum but wondered if anybody had recent had the Parrot CK3000 Bluetooth system fitted.
Since I had this fitted my media-in under the armrest has stopped working and my ipod fails to register at all. I do not even see that it is charging indicating that the connection is dead.
I am taking the car back to the shop that fitted the Parrot but wondered if anybody had seen the same thing happen after having a handsfree system fitted?
I am wondering if the dealer somehow disconnected the media-in interface but would not know where to start looking to check this....
Cheers
Media-In not working anymore after Parrot fitted.
Re: Media-In not working anymore after Parrot fitted.
It's possible that the connector into the Parrot adapter isn't seated quite right (or the connection into the back of the RCD/RNS unit). I had a similar problem when I fitted a RNS510, already had a Fiscon unit fitted and it wasn't getting power. Reseated the connections and all OK.
So if you wanted to take a quick look yourself, you could remove the console trim with a trim tool, unscrew the climate control unit (Torx T20 screws) and you may be able to check the connections there - otherwise you'll need to remove the head unit carefully and then check connections.
That would be the first thing to check. If that doesn't sort it out then probably worth getting the dealer to sort it out.

Re: Media-In not working anymore after Parrot fitted.
Many thanks for your reply.
By the sounds of things I need an expert in this stuff to do it. I do not have the tools or know how for the job.
I just hope it is a loose connection and the dealer can sort it quickly without talking the whole thing apart.
The ipod dock is one of the best features of the car so I would hate to lose it.
Many thanks

I'm planning on taking the car back to where the kit was fitted however I'm keen to find out if the problem with the original poster just a case of a disconnected media in cable or did the parrot kit have to be removed?
Anyone able to let me know?
