Upgrading Factory Fitted PLA to PLB/PLD ..Possible?

Oh hai.
R on the way.Me stubborn didnt ask for PLD (electrically foldable mirrors + LED mirror lights) in time,so now I guess I will have to fold/unfold mirrors manually.
Would it be possible (with a reasonable cost) to mod the factory fitted PLA (electrically adjustable and heating mirrors + light and rain sensors) to PLB,i.e. add the electric folding - unfolding function,LED under mirror lighting and -possibly- passenger side mirror tilt in reverse?
What parts would I need to order?
Anybody done it already?Thanks in advance...

since this modification is registered in the ECU,I guess mirrors will fold / unfold automatically when car is unlocked or locked ,correct?thanks!

No, the mirrors only fold when you select it via the switch, it will not auto fold when locking or unlocking, this is how it is from the factory.

is there any significant difference between the PLB and the PLD (folding mirrors for the R) set ?I Cant find any one

PLB consists of electrically foldable mirrors passenger side mirror dip LED lighting light and rain sensors.
Compared to that,does the "PLD" equipment pack (the factory code for mirror pack in the R) contains something extra?or is it the same pack with another code?

you need to forget about PLB PLD etc etc, you just want the part numbers as in the link above, the R (over here at least) has rain sensor as standard and its not connected to the mirrors?, if your adding folding mirrors yourself you just need to buy the mirror unit itself (this does not include glass or the painted cover, you use your originals), this is the same unit as if you had a 1.4 upto a R, all the Rocco's use the same part, the only thing i would make sure is you get the unit that folds/ has ambient lighting & reverse dips as there is a version without the reverse dip.

Sorry it was not a criticism , it's just the numbers you quote now are no use as the car is ordered, you just need to order the new mirrors using the long part numbers as in the posts, when are you getting it?, and what other options have you ordered ?

sales guy promised a couple days after easter (22/4 in greece)...I dont believe him due to the fact that GR customs havent noticed that we are in the EU in the last ~20 years and keep inspecting everything on four wheels crossing the GR borders...

options :deep black/19''/cruise control
aftermarket options : tints/parking sensors/META alarm

Greek version comes with RCD-510/center armrest/climatronic as standard
