Quick question

Post by Sootchucker »

The wife has just asked me a quick question. I know it's only a silly thing but are the front seat belts on the scirocco height adjustable. I've just looked at the spec in the VW Scirocco brochure and it certainly does say they are, and yet in some photos I've seen, it doesn't look like it is possible to adjust them?

Don't have the Rocco yet (being built this week) so can't see for myself.

Ah, thanks for that martdy.

Perhaps someone should tell VW they are breaking trades description selling a car with a listed feature that isn't there :)

See extract below from the current Scirocco price list just downloaded from their website, with it clearly stated :

TBH, it's a minor point for me, it's just that the wife is only 5'1", and so on the Golf where I have the seat belt set for me (at the top as I'm 6'1"), it cuts into her neck so she usually lowers it. Suppose she's going to have to get used to it, or not drive the Rocco (shame) :D

The positioning of the seats in relation to the top seatbelt mounting points make it unecessary, it will be less of an issue if your wife is vertically challenged TBH, my wife is only slightly taller and it's not an issue.
