Puddle lights

Post by pickle1488 »

Hi,, I've read a few posts about changing the puddle lights bulbs I was wondering if they were an option as I haven't seen it in the additional extras within the website / booklet.

Do they come with the electric folding mirrors? Or are they standard?

Cheers

Puddle lights are not standard, and they do come with the folding mirrors, have you got this option ?, with this you get reverse dip usually too, although not always the case, from what I remember there are two part numbers for folding mirrors (well more if you count left and right hand versions) and one has reverse dip and one doesn't ,PS they are w5w bulbs (some have w6w)and changing them involves removing the glass, mirror surround and motor.

Nope they go to a different connector, you can still add the warning lights to yours like I did.

Sorry I took so long to reply I can't have ticked the box to let me know when somebody replied.
Yes I took the option for electric folding mirrors but I never noticed the part mentioned for puddle lights si I guess il just have to wait and see if I get them included. Other than that. With the mirror that did when reversing, does this have to be activated using VAGCOM or will it do it automatically?

Thanks

Hi Pickle. My roc in SA came standard with the folding mirrors, which included the puddle lights. I'm sure if you ordered the folding mirror option, you will get the puddle lights automatically. It seems that the spec is different for each country.
The reverse dip feature is available without any VAGCOM changes - you just have to enable/change the setting in your MFD menu if the dealer hasn't already done this. It's covered in the manual that comes with the car, and is also on Roccopedia here.
