The dual tone horns are split, one each side of the Scirocco. They are behind and inboard of the front fog lamp positions, each mounted on a bracket hanging off the end of chassis longitudinal structure.

Access can be through the bumper skin holes behind left fog lamp bumper panel. Right hand side is a bit tighter as the washer bottle limits access. Same holes but the RH fog lamp unit needs removing (simple - 3 torx screws and a connector).

They run off fuse 17 which is 15 amp, running via a relay near the headlight switch inside the dash. Then the wiring spilts to each side of the Scirocco (black/whire stripe for 12 volts, brown for the earth return at the horn connectors) The 12 volts feed wire is 1mm all the way from the fuse box, remains so when it splits.

The right hand side is a bit crammed with the intercooler pipework further inboard. But there is more scope to get the compressor and horns mounted in the left hand horn unit position.

Do i assume right that you have to remove the rubber tray between bumper and main under tray,or main tray as well?
