Manual door locking

Post by Judithwr5 »

I will be travelling overseas for several months and my Sirocco will be off the road during this time. I want to disconnect the battery and leave the car locked while I am away. Is there anyway I can do this? There is no obvious manual method of locking the car after disconnecting the battery - no way of gaining access again if I lock first then disconnect and close the bonnet!

You do know there is a cap on the drivers side handle and under that is a key slot, look under the door handle ( the bit that holds it to the door) and you will see little rectangle hole where you can use a key etc to pop the cover off, god knows if this works with the battery off though due to windows not dropping etc
