Galaxy Tab and Scirocco

Post by kauka187 »

Hey

Just wondering if anyone thinks this is possible like in this link. I have the RNS510 but this would be so much better.

It'll happen sooner or later. Car PC's have been around for a while, now it just needs an OS like Android (and not stupid XP) to be able to be more car friendly.

The OS behind rns510 is suspected to be vxworks which is far more stable than android or similar consumer grade stuff let alone xp. The future IMHO is most likely to be terminal mode where an in car display can act as a display on to any suitably enabled mobile device.

MB are going offer thermal mode support as an option on 2012 c classes from next summer.
