Scirocco 2.0 TSI 2008 very big idle problems

Post by sss44 »

Hi everyone ,I am new around here
I've got a big problem, if anyone could help with an opinion in my problem, I would appreciate
So, I have a 2008 Scirocco 2.0 TSI (CAWB) with Forge IC, APR Carbonio Intake, Forge DV and a 3" custom cat-back and Revo stage 1 software.
Two weeks ago my Revo dealer told that stage 2 for the 2.0 TSI will appear and he will install it on my car, and also to buy and install a catless downpipe. Got the catless downpipe (3inch) , installed it, and I asked for the software, he told to wait 2 days till he will receive it. It's been 7 days , and no stage 2 software. I runned the car with CEL on, ok no problem. But 3 days ago the car started to rev itself at idle, go from 1000rpm to 400rpm and back and also started running very very rich. Took it to the VW dealership...the VAG diag showed multiple missfire on all cylinders (static) . Changed coils, sparks, MAF, and they done also some other tests :? . Took off the batery power for 40 min, to reset the ecu they have told me...nothing... car still shakes very much at idle and runs very rich. They don't know what's the problem, every part on the car seems to be fine. My Revo dealer says it's because he didn't install stage 2 software and I don't have a CAT. Now I bought a 200 cel CAT, monday i will install it. What do you think? Please help. I am desperate. Waiting for your answers. Thanks (p.s. sorry for my bad english)

just seen this i ran my 08 car with Revo Stage 1 and a full Milltek TBE with sports cat and ITG intake and it ran ok (no emmision lights etc), when we put the Stage 2 development file on mine we swapped the plugs to NGK Iridiums and closed the gap slightly

have you tried running the car in stock mode to see if you have the same issues?

He must have cos he disconnected the battery for 40 mins that wud have wiped it.

Personally I'd say it's the decat that's causing it.
