Does anyone else's car have this 'feature'?

Post by DavidH »

On my 'rocco, when you adjust the right hand door mirror the left one moves too, to a lesser extent, but the right one doesn't move when you adjust the left hand one. So you kind of have to adjust the right one before doing the left. Anyone elses's do that too? Or do i have a gremlin? It seems a little odd, maybe a fault at the switch?

edit; maybe it's so when someone else hops in the car they only have to move the right hand mirror and they both move together. For convenience? I should probably go look in the manual but can't really be arsed. :D

Its normal behaviour. My mk2 leon used to do it too. You can turn it off in the convinience menu in the mfd.

Sounds like a wierd function to me. What if you want to adjust one mirror for parking next to a curb, both move!

Both only move when you adjust the right one, just the left one moves when you adjust the left one. I agree it's a bit wierd though. That's why i figured it might have been an electrical fault.

I think you can switch this feature off in the convenience menu.

You can certainly either have them move together or separately its in the MFD setup menu - convenience or mirrors? not sure which without being in the car!
