Options With Cornsilk / Black Leather

Post by Andy Kerr »

HI Guys,

Im looking at ordering my Rocco ( 210 TSI, Manual ) next week and Im really glad that there is a forum for this great car. Having had a look around there are some fantastic looking cars out there and Im really looking forward to September to get mine. I have a Mini Cooper S Works at the moment which is nice and quick but the Rocco just feels a much better product and hence the decision swap to my first VW.

So

Can anyone let me into the secret why I can't seem to spec the Winter Pack and Electric Drivers Seat with the Cornsilk / Black Leather Seats? The seat colour options are a bit limited and the two tone looks great but stops you having the options that I would want. I don't mind paying the extra but I don't see the difference in the seats.

I would appreciate any information on this.

Cheers

Andy

Hi Andy :welcome:

its a stab in the dark as there are no other ideas come to mind but re the electric seat unable to be specced with the cornsilk & leather I can only presume that the supplier who supplies the seats in the two tone is not yet geared up to build one with the electric gubbins in

not sure why you can't spec the winter pack as I have just checked the configurator & i can, are you definitely selecting the winter pack & not the winter pack in conjunction with something else (ie the winter pack in conjunciton with xenons & leather comes up with an error for me)

other than that, as you say the leather options are limited so I would highly recommend you save your pennies for now & just have cloth interior with winter pack & then get a custom retrim at a later date which will give you a better quality interior & you can do what you like

honestly whilst the electric seat option gives plenty of adjustment its a real pain if you use the rear seats as no seat memory and rather slow, i wouldn't lose sleep over not having it again, surprised as really they are just covers, if you go coth you lose the electric lumber

tri xis right as parts of the winter pack comes with leather (heated seats) and xenons (headlight washers), there are different versions of the winter pack and price depending what options you have

Guys,

Thanks for the reply, I see from the configuration you can select the Winter pack on it's own but not using the with Leather option ( which I was doing as it was cheaper !!! ), If the electric Seats don't have a memory function then I totally agree why have them?

Ok so thats sorted it's a Black 210 TSI with the Cornsilk/Black leather, 19" Lugano pack, Winter Pack, Sat Nav with Sound Pack, Tyre Pressure Monitor, Folding Mirrors and Parking Sensors. Have you guys driven with the DSG transmission? Is it any Good?

Thanks Again

I had one for my test drive last year & found it unbelieveably easy to get on with, alurt has recently traded up to a DSG from a manual & has written a very good write up here

When I use button on top of the seat to move it forward and back it remembers last position and comes back to it. I'm talking about electric seat of course.
