I just after some help with my I phone. I have connected it through the USB & when I try to play music it says it not recongised. I looked through the manual & it says it may need a software upgrade. Is this true if so how do I go about getting software upgrade.

What iPhone is it? I have a 3gs and it tells me I need to put it into airplane mode I can read the music from it. I don;t bother I just went a bought a new Nano to save me having to keep plugging my phone in all the time.

Yeah, the RCD 510 is fully compatible with all models of the iPhone when you use the proper dock connector to Mdi lead.

Just to clarify what's already been said Nick, you should have two separate leads with your car, one USB and one iPod lead.
