Additional power source inside?

Post by cullywoo »

Does anyone know where I can find a 12v supply in the cockpit that I can tap into (for 2-3Amps)? I want an additional source of power source so I don't have clumsy wires lying over the cabin leading from the cigarette socket.

Annoyingly with the fuse box located in the engine compartment I can't get power from there, which is how I have always done it with other cars.

Failing that does anyone know a good way to run wires from the engine compartment into the cockpit?

What about the fuse box under the right hand side of the dash ? There should be a few spare terminals in there with live and switched live supplies.
I can't say what ampage may be available on those circuits - you don't want to overload a circuit and start a fire.

Perfect. Just what I was after. I don't suppose you know which terminal is which. I can't find a fuse diagram in my handbook ( not sure what you are supposed to do if you need to find a blown fuse??)
