unable to unlock the passenger door

Post by skyblues11 »

this maybe a small thing, but my manual is still not here yet from Germany, so i have no idea how certain thing works. But this issue really baffles me.

My problem is when i unlock the car via the keyfob, the passenger door won't unlock at the same time. I have to open it from the inside, or use the padlock button on the driver side.

i'd gather its to do with the idea of anti-car jacking , but its really annoying and the passenger ends up yanking the handle thinking W.T.F.

is there a setting i have not done right? I don;t mind it if i know i will be alone, but when i am expecting to pick someone up, i have to lean across everytime.

is this a fault or is it a purposefully designed setting, for somewhere like South africa ?

you have to press the fob twice, you can alter this in the convenience settings of the mfs on the mfd
