Hey Errorlevel

there isn't a repair manual released for the scirocco mk3 yet (in the sense of a haynes manual) or at least not that i'm aware of.
is it just for interest or have you got a problem?

I have an AS-7608 ( is like the RNS ) , and GPS has been locked and the screen not response when I touch it. However other functions are working well (radio, bluetooth, ipod, etc). The problem is when I push the button GPS and appears the screen locked.

I want to disconnect and connect the fuse of radio for reset it, but I don't know which is the fuse of radio

Could you not just disconnect the car battery and leave it for a while? Admittedly most other things would probably be reset but it's worth a shot.

Don't be concerned if this doesn't work though, it would probably have a backup battery in the unit or store it's config on non-volatile memory. Worth a shot though.

The main fuse box is to the right hand side of the dashboard (you have to open the door to access it) and your owners manual tells you which fuse covers the radio. Just pull that fuse out for a few minutes and that should reset the radio.

Having said that if you have a 122 1.4 it is probably not a UK right hand drive model and the fuse box could be on the left hand side of the dash.
Just read your manual.

Yes, I had thought the battery option but had afraid of unconfigure something (like car key, etc.) and would have to go to the dealership for fixed it.

So I asked for repair manual (so disconnect only the fuse for the radio)

If nobody knows the answer of the fuses, I'll try the battery option.
Thanks for your response

I think you are wise to be wary of disconecting the battery - you can't be sure what might need some specialist resetting.

My thoughts also Zeph. Scirocco could end up in "Transport Mode" as well.

If you want the "repair manual" go to http://erwin.volkswagen.de" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. It is VW's Electronic Repair and Workshop Information service. It's a pay for service but you put in your VIN and you get the correct manual and repair procedures for your car.
