Trim removal

Post by adamj »

Does anyone know how to remove the silver trim around the radio and A/C controls?

I have a slight rattle where the top of the radio meets the trim and I want to put some "rattle tape" on it (I have loads of the stuff from when I had my Z4

I gave up on dealers fixing rattles a long time ago....

Yep. The Halfords guy removed it to get the RCD out when I got my Parrot fitted. It is one continuous piece of thin plastic - the guy put a very thin but strong piece of rounded plastic in the gap and gently prised it out a bit, then moved a few centimeters along and did the same then all the way round the edge - looked really easy. I guess you could do it with a kid's plastic ruler or something similiar.

Hope this helps.
