Suspension Strut Top Rust

Post by robmx »

Hi, while topping up my washer fluid the other day I noticed the suspension strut top (not sure if I've described that right) had rusted quite severely for a car less than 9 months old.

Is this a common problem or is it just me?

Ok, cheers for that, I knew about the boot strut bolts, but not the suspension strut tops, seems a bit substandard to me. I worked on my old mk3 golf and my gfs mk1 cab and GTi and saw less rust on the suspension.

You'd have thought they'd have been zinc plated at the very least.
