Morning folks. Wonder if anyone else had this same issue.
I have a 67 plate R.
For a little while now the passenger window has been a little temperamental. Sometimes dropping as it should, sometimes not.
If it doesn't drop when my wife is about to get out and the engine is running, I have been able to use the drivers door switch; pressing up and down seems to free it.
It has also seen a little pressure on the door card that allows it to drop too.
Yesterday a new symptom with this saga; opening the door from the inside did nothing, but the outside did. This was repeated.
Car had not been used in a week, and I believe this is the original battery. But, it did do a 15 mile journey before we stopped and without any starting up problems, that could be associated with a battery issue. Despite which, this has been going on for some time.
I recall changing an actuator on my old TT as I was told that these were a common issue for VAG.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Re: Frameless Window - Passenger Side Not Dropping
Just in case someone else has this issue.
I resolved it with a brand new battery. The problem went away instantly - never to show its ugly head. This was done back in July 2025.

Thanks for feeding back, my 66 plate still has its original battery, so worth being aware of potential issues
