Cruise control retrofit 2017 car

Post by DL04LRL »

Hello..

So I am looking to retrofit cruise control to my 2017 scirocco r line . I have one eleven and have check the code on my squib ring ,

Part number - 5K0953569BC

After a bit of digging around I found that It will support cruise control but only that of steering wheel mounted buttons .. which I was happy about really as I would prefer that than stalk controller .

A little searching later I found that there is a set that are known to work - 2K0 959 442 A

This part number comes back to the Tiguan style triangle air bag and not the mk7 round airbag style wheel .

What I am in asking is if any knows or has don’t this mod before and what part number I need for mfsw buttons

I will watch a image of my current wheels as reference

Well I would do if the size limit on image upload wasn’t so small lol … anyway it’s a round airbag style like the mk7/7.5 ..

I'm looking to do the same installation. I've bought Steering Wheel Button Set Part Number 2G0-959-442 L that were listed on eBay for VW Polo Mk 6. The part number includes both the left and Right button clusters. On the left: SET, RES, Cruise ON, Cruise MODE and Volume up and down. On the right the buttons for the trip computer and Audio System buttons for Speak, View, Previous and Next.

When I fitted cruise to my previous Scirocco TDI GT, on the the left stalk switch, I needed an Access Code to let me set the Engine Control Module appropriately. Is something similar required for my late 2017 TDI 184 with DSG?
