Hi all,
Had a timing chain failure on my 2010 2.0 TSI last year at 80,000 miles, as I bought the car new I took the maybe foolish decision to have the engine rebuilt so £5,500 later I got my car back and all seemed ok.
After 5,000 miles I am starting to have some electrical issues.
Air con stopped working, had it re gassed but get pressure sensor fault, sensor changed but fault still there.
"low oil warning" is on, oil level fine, changed sensor but no change. If I pull on sensor wires I get the red "no oil pressure, stop engine" warning! oil pressure is fine.
Tyre pressure low warning, this is done on ABS sensor, not pressure sensor in wheel, will not re set by button in glovebox. Changed button for new and inspected wiring, no change.
As pulling the wiring underneath the car for the oil level sensor seems to induce more faults I am assuming this is the area of the problem, maybe when the engine was removed they forgot to disconnect a wiring connector and damaged it?
Is anyone able to confirm there is a block connector under there somewhere please? I hope to find some wires bodged together but don't know exactly where to look, presume I need to remove the under tray?
I have some movement disability so don't want to spend hours crawling around under car if there is nothing to see there!
Thank you!
