New alloys for a 2011 1.4 TSI 122

Post by Moyboy »

Hi all

Looking to replace my standard 17 inch alloys to either the talladega 18 inch or the Cadiz 18inch.

Does anyone know if this can be a straight swap or any problems doing this?

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Straight swap but ensure the offset is ET41 as Cadiz and Talladega alloys were fitted to Golfs and have a different offset. Also Golf ones are 7.5" wide whereas Scirocco ones are 8" wide.
Spec you want for a Scirocco is 18x8, PCD: 5x112mm, CB: 57.1mm. OEM tyre size for 18" wheel is 235/40x18.

There are also a lot of replica Cadiz and Talladega wheels around.

Thanks for the help! Does it matter that alloys I can purchase as long as they match those specs?

They don't have to be exactly that spec but it reduces the risk of any issues. You can choose any alloy style and manufacturer you wish although be aware some cheaper replica wheels can be of poor quality.
