They refer to airbag light going off after 7 secs and then you remove the key. On my car it goes off after about 3 seconds, and the procedure doesn't work. Clearly every one of the dozens of websites is just copying each other...
The light appeared after various fuses were pulled out to see which one to connect a dashcam to. It's a bit like this post

Is there a procedure which actually works?
Alternatively, I do have VAG-COM, installed on a dedicated ancient laptop and that worked - clearing errors in the airbag module. This post
