Automatic locking of doors

Post by aph58157303 »

Hi

I'm trying to access the convenience menu to active the automatic locking facility when the vehicle accelerates to speeds in excess of 15 kilometres.

Can anyone please help me to access it, I've tried tried using the buttons on the windscreen lever, but with no success as I can't seem to access the convenience menu as stipulated in the manual. Is there another way?

Many Thanks

Andrew

I believe you need the VagCom software to access some of the features of the conveniance menu so it means either getting a dealer to do it or finding someone near by with the VagCom software. Think this is correct but I'm sure someone'll correct me if I'm wrong. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

It's definitely there in the menu of a UK Roc with highline computer (all GT's are highline), I set mine up. Keep looking. Might be called something you don't associate with locking like "convenience closing" or something similar - should be in the convenience menu somewhere.

It's occasionally inconvenient, you go for a drive and it locks, you pull over to pick someone up and have to remember to press the unlock button on the door so they can open it (I forget about 30% of the time when picking up wor lass from her work).

APH - is your TDI a GT model or normal model? If it's normal, you might have midline computer, not highline, and so won't be able to access the highline specific options/settings.

Just checked with the Scirocco pricelist spec - standard models (non GT) have midline - there are no adjustables within midline - info only. You'll have to go VAGCOM to make settings changes if you haven't got a GT spec.

Mine is not the GT model so it sounds like I'll have to get the garage to make the alteration - thanks everyone for all your help.
