Boot not opening/auto springs

Post by Jcotton »

Hi I have a 09 2.0tdi gt
Boot won’t push open as such, makes the noise but won’t open unless
I pull it up on the noise, I’ve seen there’s springs you can buy to help, can’t see them on Amazon as available
Any where I can buy them off the shelf? Eg euro car parts etc

They are OEM parts, part number 1K 882 7761D so in theory they are only available from TPS or dealers but if you put the part number into Google you should be able to buy them online somewhere.

Assuming the ones on your car are still in one piece, you could try lubricating them with silicon spray.
