Best DAB Aerial

Post by morro9581 »

Hi all,

New scirocco owner, unfortunately no DAB radio, I have purchased a KENWOOD DNX516DABS to install, wondering what the best options for a least intrusive DAB aerial are?

All advice appreciated.

Hi,

I have this part now, what do I need to do next?

Looks like the shark fin aerial is DAB ready but unsure what to do.

The "Shark Fin" does not contain the DAB antenna. As said, it's located in the side rear window. If you look closely you can see the wires.

The "Shark Fin" contains the GPS antenna for the sat nav. For cars without sat nav, it's a dummy.

Do I need a new DAB wire from the splitter back to the head unit as it is a Kenwood and not VW?

This cable and the splitter will bring you the DAB Signal to Radio, then youe need to connect it to your radio.

Its normal Fakra antenna Cable
