Looking for advice

Post by The Reaper »

I have bought a 2009 2.0tsi today with98k miles and a stage 2 remap .
I've noticed when flooring it in sixth gear on the motorway around 80-90mph and as it's gets to just below 4K revs there a kind of shudder with the car and it's as though it holds back and drives quite jerky.
I've absolute no idea what it could be and don't know if there's anything seriously wrong.
It's a manual gearbox but seems to do this when it's driven hard.
The upgrades that are on the vehicle are listed below...

Ram air intake
Exhaust resonator delete
Decat
Stage 2 super chips bluefin remap
Forge blow off valve.

Your help would be appreciated
Thanks

I think I saw this question on Facebook earlier lol might have been you.

I had a similar thing but I'm unsure as to what it was exactly. I tried replacing the spring in the Forge diverter valve and replacing the o-rings. Couldn't find any vacuum leaks etc. The only thing I did that stopped it was removing the spark plugs (noticed they weren't tight), gave them a quick clean and refitted them.

It hasn't come back again either. Could be worth a look on yours?

Thanks for the reply.
I'm looking to change the spark plugs and also the coil packs simply because it's a new vehicle to me and it would be the cheapest option to start and then move on. Also for peace of mind. I might be lucky and it sorts the problem
