I know some of you owned VW's before, and so I was curious as to whether with the Scirocco you miss the blue illuminated dials?
They seem to be coming to the end of the road, starting with the Scirocco and Passat CC, and then the new Golf…
Would you have preferred the famous VW Blue dial lights?

love the dials as very clear and not as cluttered as the mk 5 golf gti speedo, its audi-esque almost

lol I was just saying to my brother tonight, I like how the Scirocco has white lights instead of the blue/purple I had on my Golf.

When i first heard that the Scirocco would not have the blue lights i was really disappointed i always thought they look good. Now i have the car i prefer the new lights. However, in my opinion the climate control really lets down the interior because the blue light looks dated and is not consistent with the rest of the interior lighting. I actually turned the climate control off when I showed a friend the car.

Yeah, the climate control seems as if it was taken from another car (in fact it was, from Golf V).heavymetalmayhem wrote:When i first heard that the Scirocco would not have the blue lights i was really disappointed i always thought they look good. That black on blue background light looks cheap and nasty.

How much would it have cost to make the a/c lights match the rest of the dash - pointless pfennig pinching
