Blowers only giving cold air ????

Post by FoxL »

So a few weeks ago my AC started blowing hot air but only from the pax side of the car and now it's only giving out cold air no mater what temperature it's on. Obviously it's getting colder now and I want to be warm in my car but more importantly I need to clear my windscreen!

Anyone have any suggestions on a fix before I take it to a garage?

Assuming there are no engine temp or coolant loss issues, my guess would be that you have some sticking flaps, in particular the one that determines the cabin temperature.

No problems with the engine temp or coolant loss. With a sticky flap is this something I can look at myself? Or could you point me in the direction of where to look?

I believe you can check the operation of all the flaps using VCDS.

Thanks, I’ll get it plugged in the next few days and see what comes out of it.
