New purchase

Post by Jt rocco »

Hi guys,
Thanks for letting me join , I'm hopefully going to do a deal on the weekend on a scirocco gt tdi 140 in that stunning metallic blue 2011 plate 52,000 miles, is there anything to look out for on them before I do the deal, also why is it so hard to find one with leather interior when there in the best colour going BLUE was it an optional extra on the get model?
Thanks in advance
Jon

Yes, leather was a relatively expensive option on the GT model. £1,750 if my memory serves me right.

Check that the cambelt and tensioner were changed in 2016, as it is recommended that it be changed at 5 years old. If the car is a DSG, then the DSG oil and filter should have been changed at 40k miles. Brake fluid should also have been changed in 2014 and 2016.

Check rear tyres for abnormal wear which can cause rumbling / droning from the rear.
