Hi guys , am having an issue where i keep hearing a knocking noise when driving around town which is really annoying. It on the passenger rear panel section. You can hear it more when driving around town 20-30 mph but in the motorway can hardly hear it. I have removed all the rear trims to insure it's not loose wires and you can still hear it. I had a friend to try pin point it and he said sound like near wing section. Maybe shock absorber?
Anyone have any ideas ?

Its not this is it, a faulty spot weld? https://goo.gl/SB6a7J" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Although I don't think the R suffered from this but not certain.

Re: Scirocco R rear panel knocking noise
Took the car to VW who confirmed noise from near side rear. They took it up the ramp and found the NSR chassis control sensor creaking when applying pressure to the wheel. They disconnected and did a road test stating that the noise was gone. Said said they put some lubrication on the joints of the sensor but when taking the car back home the noise was still there which they did say if it came back then would need a new chassis control sensor. Hopefully it would be covered by warranty and waiting for this to be confirmed...
