Have you specced your car yet?
I've fiddled around on the configurator a few times now and I think I've finally cracked what I'm after.
Now I just have to find the money for it!

Re: Have you specced your car yet?
I went for the rising blue (still time to change it), black leather with electric seat, dab and dynadio, folding mirrors and winter pack, parking sensors, cruise and flat tyre warning

Not entirely sure I can go that wild yet
but as I've got another 6 months to be a tight arse and save like mad I might just make it. If not I suspect the winter pack and Xenons will bite the dust.

Hi
I have ordered a DSG in Black Pearl, Truffle Leather, Cruise Control, Parking Sensors, Sunroof, Dynaudio, Leccy Seat and Tyre Warning. The extras mount up but I feel are worth it. Just waiting for delivery now - its going to be a long wait - Late October at the earliest.

Re: Have you specced your car yet?
My spec; Manual,Rising Blue,Black leather,Xenon,Dynaudio,f/r carpet mats ; £24,140
i think that's a nice spec for me,i've only added things to the car that i'll get maximum use out of and will make a big difference to me so i'm very pleased with that.Delivery, who knows, the car is already in the system though, the dealer is just changing the spec for me.they reckon once the car has a customer name attached that it hurries it along,i don't know how true that is.

Went for paint (pewter), leather(black), mats, sunroof, flat tyre indicator, and parking sensors - came in at just under £24k, which seems to be the average price, judging by the previous posts.

1st mod Aluminium pedals - cant believe they're not standard. Also need to check out this smoking pack business. It was these extra details on my Mk5 Gti that made it feel extra special ,aluminium pedals ,ashtray lid etc.

Re: Have you specced your car yet?
My spec: DSG, Black, Pan Sun, Black Leather, Folding Mirrors, Sat Nav, Parking Sensors, Xenons, Flat Tyre Ind, De-Badged.
Didn't opt for Cruise Control, Heated Seats, 6CD Changer - I have these in my current car, i've hardly ever used the first 2 and the CD changer will be useless as I will make full use of my 30GB storage, plus I needed the MDI to connect my iPhone to.
Also didn't get Elec seats(how many times will I change my seating position in 1 day??? Not worth it for me), Smoking pack, carpet mats (dealer said he'd provide them at the garage as the factory ones arent good)
Might add Dynaudio for extra £380 - will it be worth it???

Re: Have you specced your car yet?
I'd definately go for (and have) the Dynaudio . One of my few gripes about my Mk5 Gti was the sound system - cr#p IMO.
Especially as you've so highly specced the rest of her...
Check out the Dynaudio website for the work they did on the Passat

Cheers

Re: Have you specced your car yet?
Rehmondo,
as far as I read the spec, you get a 6CD changer for free in the dash as part of the radio setup.
Also, if you specced leather, this comes with heated seats and electric lumbar support.
Correct me if I'm wrong

Re: Have you specced your car yet?
Nah the 6CD changer comes with the £1390 Sat Nav option not the £1180, and the heated seats come in the Winter pack and are not standard with leather as far as I am aware the electric lumbar support is though, can anyone confirm?

Re: Have you specced your car yet?
Thanks man, I've got a test drive booked for the day coming up soon and I'll check out the standard ones then and see if they will suffice, I have standard speakers in my Golf but feel the £380 is worth it on a brand new car, but I just don't know if I will feel £380's worth of difference if you know what I mean.martdy wrote:I'd definately go for (and have) the Dynaudio.

Re: Have you specced your car yet?
I test drove a scirocco with leather seats but no electric adjustment
It still had electric lumbar support and heated seats (That's why I changed my spec to remove the electric adjustment)
This is confirmed by the Pricing/spec guide.
Also, the RCD 510 radio is standard, which again gives you a dash mounted 6cd changer
I never tested this to see if it's true, just going by the spec guide.
again, corrections welcomed

Re: Have you specced your car yet?
Hmmm is it possible that also had the Winter Pack added to it? If not then thats made my day but I have a feeling heated seats will always be an extra.morrissey wrote:It still had electric lumbar support and heated seats
The CD changer is standard on the Radio your right, however I've chosen the std sat nav player which doesn't come with a 6CD changer but is £200 less than the one that does - that one was ideal for me and I can still plug in an iPod etc through the MDI. Only downside is that the Sat Nav is not compatible with the DAB, one sacrifice I had to make but I felt I'd use the Sat Nav more than the DAB.

In the pricelist there are about 4 versions of the winter pack depending on whether you have xenons and/or leather or neither.rehmondo wrote:Hmmm is it possible that also had the Winter Pack added to it? If not then thats made my day but I have a feeling heated seats will always be an extra.

Re: Have you specced your car yet?
Quote from the brochure page 6,
Would have been nice to get it standard with the Leather seats.Heated front seats form part of the optional Winter pack, which
also includes headlight washers, heated windscreen washer jets and low
washer fluid warning light.
Re: Have you specced your car yet?
they are worth it, my missus forced me to go for them on current car and glad i did, on a winter morning crank em up and defrost the car, vw/audi seats do get rather hot (i defy anyone to sustain max) and it has been appeared in the press this week that heated seats can harm your gentlemen's vegetables

They are.Would have been nice to get it standard with the Leather seats.
Page 8 of the price list detailing leather seats states Vienna Leather option includes heated seats, driver's seat electrical lumbar support and front passenger lumbar support.

Re: Have you specced your car yet?
Spot on guys, the Sales guy confirmed it that my choice of Leather was indeed coming with heated seats. I took it for a spin today, my pics can be found here..

Anyone know how the iPod thingy works, I took my iPod and iPhone along and it wouldn't recognise any of them, which led me to believe there maybe an option in the stereo that has to be set or it may not even have been connected in the demo. The Sales guy was helpful but like every VW garage I've spoken to he didn't have all the answers as so far they have been told very little by VW.
