Catylitic Converter warning light

Post by Bawbag »

I have just bought a gorgeous r with 57k on the clock.I have just drove it into work and the catylitic converter warning light came on! The car seems to be running ok with no misfire.I know the previous owner didn't always use v power or the equivalent but I am almost halfway through my second tank of v power.Could this be connected to the problem? Anyone else had the same warning light? And what was the cause/fix? Should I just take it to my local VS. dealer ASAP?

Basically means the post cat lambda sensors are detecting a reading outwith normal parameters.

First thing to do is have the car scanned to find out what is triggering it.
