New Scirocco R owner, need info on lowering

Post by maxklinkby »

Hi guys,

I have followed many posts within this forum and find it extremely helpful! I have a black Scirocco R that I have lowered using H&R springs that are supposed to lower it 30-35mm. It seems to me as if the rear has been lowered the correct amount, but that front is till a bit high? Am I the only one who has experienced this? Because on the pictures I have seen of others' cars lowered on H&R, they sit equally low both front and rear. I have only had them in for a week does that matter?

I look forward to hearing from you guys. Thanks!

have you got the correct springs for your car? engine/DSG vs manual etc

Also I think you need to put some miles on it too

Mine sat like that for a while before they settled in.

Now sits perfectly equal! Dont worry about it , put a good few miles on the springs and you will see

I'm looking at getting h&r lowering springs for my car too. But I'm unsure of what Ines to get. I'm looking a 35mm drop. It's the 2.0 TSI with the DSG box. Can any one advise thanks

what did it do to ride quality?

Any issues with speed bumps?

I do think the R could still sit lower stock but don't want to wreck ride comfort and OEM geometry.

I had H&R on my GT. They got a bit lower after they'd bedded in.

How's everybody finding H&R springs on the R?
