Car alarm going off frequently

Post by Jdrocco123 »

Alright lads,

Recently purchased a 2011 scirocco R and the past few days it's been going off randomly, day or night..
Sometimes with the alarm sound and sometimes just hazards come on, I don't know why it's happening and seeing if anyone had any ideas,".
I've checked the bonnet and Windows boot there all shut properly and checked for any insects in the car and can't seem to find any!
Any suggestions?

First thing you can do is disable the interior sensors by pushing the button on the door pillar when you leave the car to see if that helps isolate it to the interior sensors.

Another option is to disable the alarm by pushing the lock button twice when locking. I wouldn't recommend this as it also disables the deadlocks and may make the car vulnerable.

On activation the alarm sounds for 30secs and then goes silent just leaving the hazards flashing.

The one on the door pillar under the searbelt that lights up when you open the driver's door. A lot of people don't realise it's there:-)

You have to.press it every time you leave the car. It just disables to interior sensor so you can leave pets on the car.
