Got around to fitting this
Gives a deeper noise, increases the warble slightly from the engine and emphasizes the higher end whir noise. Throttle is slightly quicker too, I think. Not huge quantities and if I paid full price I may have been dissatisfied but happy with it as a toy.

Will get some better photo's when i get more time and its not raining. Also needs a wash. Overall Im well pleased with the springs and spacers and cant imagine it looking better. Like others have said comfort is now like the old sport mode, standard is a step down from that and again for sport. Giving it a week to bed in and then getting a full wheel alignment so taking it steady until then but feels much better cornering.Zakuz wrote:Thanks can you keep me posted and possibly post a pic please [emoji1474]

It's not hugely loud but subtley different, had a bit more of a drive with it today and does sound deeper/meatier. I could do a video but not sure if audio quality would be worth it or would be any different to any other potential ones on youtube.
I think it could also be a tad quicker from standing too.

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Thankfully not something i did to my scirocco today but had an engine failure with a 1.2 tsi seat leon st rental.
Driving on the autobahn i suddenly lost power and epc light came on.
I could manage to park it on a safe spot on the side of the road. When the car stopped smoke out of the engine bay and the whole engine bay covered in oil and leaking out underneath.
Also dragged a trace of a few hundred meters of oil on the road.
It looked like a failed timing chain tensioner.
Thankfully a colleague whas in the neighbourhoud with a 2.0 tdi to pick me up

I did nothing.
On the other hand I fitted some alloy wheels, engine covers, gas bonnet struts and Hella horns to my mates Scooby. We are now deaf XD

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Replaced front drivers side tyre. Reversed over my own bollard this am and made a funny noise (the tyre not me). Got down the road and tyre light came on, pulled over and flat.
Used emergency kit in boot and hobbled to work but had to stop on way to pump it up again, on arrival to work flat completely again.
Called RAC, they had a Goodyear Eagle asymmetric 2 in the right dimensions, should have liked to change the fronts to Asymm 3's like the rears but beggars couldn't be choosers, needed to get car fixed.
So now I have the OCD feeling of one tyre being far newer than the other! oh and i'm £180 lighter for it!:(

Please do! There are no decent Scirocco intake videos on Youtube. What's really needed is a decent quality recording of the noise in the cabin; both normal driving and "giving it some".tyrannosauRoss wrote:I could do a video but not sure if audio quality would be worth it or would be any different to any other potential ones on youtube.
It seems like every idiot on Youtube thinks they should record the noise from inside (or on top of) the engine bay, which is just utterly useless.

Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
I'll try and remember. Was on the phone (bluetooth) while giving it decent welly last night and my freind said all he could here was a deep growl whenever I put my phone down.Engram wrote:Please do! Re: What did you do to your Scirocco today?
Damaged my cluster when putting blue needles in it. Tacho and fuel gauge didn't work anymore.
So i took out the stepmotors of my old cluster and replaced them.
And after that calibrated them with vcds.
Now everything is fine again.
