Best for Black

Morning folks

I'm just wanting some advice in the best products for my black Scirocco.

I was thinking:
Shampoo
Clay (twice a year?)
Polish
Carnuba wax

I'm wanting to keep it relatively simple so does the above sound a decent start?
Would I be better with a regular polish or a colour specific one?

Any advice welcomed [emoji1]

Autoglym foam shampoo
G3 clay mitt
Poorboys Black Hole
Poorboys Natty wax
Plus applicators and microfibre towels

Products are pointless. It's technique and prep.
Detar, iron fallout remover and then clay.
polish with a dual action or rotary. seal with a quality sealant , ideally a ceramic sealant (c1 gtech or carpro cquk) or if not then a decent wax or sealant like collinite 476s or fusso or fk100p.

I understand there's more treatments and more professional products but I wasn't looking for the ultimate. Just a few products that would bring the best out of the black. I'm more than happy with the results and maybe maybe 45 degree angles don't show 'jack' but it does show what I achieved with the little experience I have, which is what it's about on here

Try Autofinesse Tripple mate instead of the black hole, much easier to use and in my opinion gives a better finish on the black. I give mine a pressure washer pre-wash, citrus de-bug on bad bug marks at front and mirrors, avalanche snowfoam, pressure wash again, hand wash with two buckets and lambs wall mit with auto finesse lather then rinse off with rainwater via 5 gallon drum connected to pressure washer. The picture below is as above with no polish or wax applied, no drying needed and no water marks due to using rainwater.



Then around every 8 to 12 weeks I do the same but follow with Auto Finesse Tripple.

And twice a year follow the Tripple with a coat of wax.

Over time I'll try a few different products.
Nice looking car by the way I was toying with the idea of black on black but think I'm sticking with stock colour (for now)

Welcome Welchy - good to have you aboard ! Car looks good. Lots to read on detailing world if you get bitten by the bug. It can be expensive & everyone has an opinion but if you like cleaning cars or owning a clean car there's lots of choice & even more opinion, best bet is find what works for you.
X jay makes some fine recommendations, go with what works for you & your budget. I've tried lots of stuff over the last three years before deciding on my products of choice & they don't all come from one manufacturer. W always looks acceptably clean to me, after all it's my CDO I have to live with - enjoy !

I wouldn't say I've been bitten by the bug but I did enjoy the shiny car on my drive when I'd finished. Until the heavens opened of course!!!
I'll try some different things. I definitely want to try the Purple Haze but I'm in no rush to go crazy and build up a huge collection of half used pots of polish [emoji85]

as said above the look of paint is down to the prep...don't spend lots of money on products instead invest in a DA polisher and some polish.

Polished paint and careful washing is what makes paint look amazing...products only enhance/protect the paint underneath.

Bilt Hammer auto wash
Bilt Hammer Clay Bar ( only needs water as a lube)
Auto Finnesse Triple

Wax - spend the money and get Zymol Glazer - two coats over 2 days best bang for your bucks
superb beading and although over £100 it will last for years I have had my tub since 2009 and still not run out yet
you will needs Zymol HD Cleanse as a prep first
