20" inch 9,5" possible?

Post by Veratio »

Hello sirs,

I have a Scirocco R, 2016, that I am looking for new alloys for the summer. I have original ones, 18", for the winter.

Found some gorgeous second hand alloys, 20". The specs as follows:

8,5x20 ET 40 - 235/30/20
9,5x20 ET 45 - 255/30/20
Nav 66,6
Orginal Spacers 4x10mm

I talked to my local "tire-guy" that said that the 9,5 Inch rear tires can be a bit tight, and had to be tested. I read that some have the 9,5". It´s just such a hassle to try the tires on, since they are a few miles away from me.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

You'll need spigot rings as the Scirocco centre bore is 57.1mm and those are 66.1mm.

Great info Cuprabob!

I´m going to skip those rims, I would be more comfortable without spigot rings. But they would look good, I am sure....

Thank you for your assistance!!!
