Help with Wheel Colour for Candy White

Post by robertwilliamday »

Hello All.

I have a Candy White Scirocco and I have the wheels booked in at Wheel Works in Crawley in a few weeks for repair and repaint.. When I was there the guy running the place showed me a golf wheel in the picture that he said was a new VW colour, used on R Line Golfs. I went in thinking I wanted a smoked chrome look and then saw this which I said yes to. But now I'm having second thoughts ! I like the fact that this is a modern colour. He also said it would be easier to repaint one wheel in the future and get a perfect match.

What do you lot think, would really appreciate your thoughts !

I wanted something a bit different from the norm but not black or anthracite.

Help !

Rob.

Looks silver to me. I'm probably not the best to ask though as I've got anthracite rims (genuine VW by the way) on my candy white Scirocco which is the perfect colour on my opinion.

Hi I have mine smoked chrome they were powder coated black first then finished with a light coat of silver which makes them
look a lot darker than the photo
In the sunlight the contrast is amazing when it's overcast or there dirty! you get a darker meaner look

I agree with Paddy_R, anthracite goes with white perfectly.

I've got a carbon-grey on mine; looks quite nice on the Candy White:

You get a general dark-metallic grey with a hint of carbon-blue. Slightly more unusual if you're looking at options.
