Just noticed in last 24 hours that my mfd is showing below freezing to like -4!! I know Blackpool is cold but its not that bad. Is this a fault with anything or ???

Re: MFD showing below freezing
It could be a faulty sensor but normally when it goes it displays ludicrous temps.
On other VAG cars the sensor is behind the grill on the nearside so I assume that's where it's located on the Scirocco.
The MFD displays the frost symbol when the temp falls below 4 degrees.

Does anyone have a link to a new sensor as mine is now showing -45?

External temperature sensor, part number: 8Z0820535
Same part used across all sciroccos, golfs and numerous others.
It's located behind the front lower grill, usually to the left side (passenger side)
-45c indicates pretty much open circuit.
