karcher pressure washer Problem ...?

Post by Lewis1988 »

Hi all

Hope someone can help

I have a karcher pressure washer

Went to use it this morning and the pressure of the machine keeps pushing the hose for the gun out ?

The connector on the house doesn't look worn ?

Anyone else experienced this

My Karcher hose screws into the unit, so I have to ask is it screwed in correctly

That's different to mine . Mine only uses that type of connector on the low pressure feed. I've had that blow off a few times and just bought a new connector.

Most newer Karcher pressure washers have a c-clip system on the pressure hose that you have to manually engage when connecting the hose.

If this clip have disengaged then that would explain the hose popping out under pressure. Might be worth checking this out and pushing the clip back in if it's loose!

Had this problem, after a while the plastic mount around the brass slips forward so the brass fitting won't lock in to place. When you turn on the water it blows the hose out of the machine. We were advised by karcher to trim back the plastic housing with a Stanley knife. Hope this helps
