Hi all,
Finally got my rocco on Saturday after a trip the full length of the country nearly (thread to follow).
Got a question about the media in slot in the armrest. Is it compatible with a Galaxy S5/android? Had a quick Google and look on eBay but could only see cables for iPhone. Any help would be appreciated.
On a separate note, does anyone have a galaxy s5? I've tried setting my Bluetooth up with the RNS310 I have. Works fine for calling, but for some reason if I try to look at my address book it shows me what looks like a Gmail address book with names and emails of everybody I've ever emailed, rather than any phone numbers or the actual mobile phone contacts I have.
Cheers

Glad you finally got one!
I have an s5 and never had an issue with address book.
My car has a rns 315
.
Don't think you can buy a media in lead as such. My car came with 2 different cables . One is for iPhone. Other just has a female usb connection on the end. So you plug usb into it. Never tried plugging my phone in though.

Cheers mate
Hmm, how did you connect up your phone and address book then?
And as for the media wire, so I presume I just need to get the cable that has the female USB connection then I can plug my USB Samsung charger into that?

Don't quote me on this, but as long as your android phone is told to go into external drive mode when plugged into USB, then it should just plug in to the MDI and work like a USB stick does.

Haha I left the house at 9am on Saturday and didn't get back until midnight with it.
Just standard at the moment, got new wheels, colour coded bumper and sides, h&rs, roof wrap and some interior mods planned first off.

Check where your contacts are stored on your phone, SIM, Phone Memory or memory card (if fitted). I remember having to play around with my Sony Android phone to get them the Way I wanted.
As said above, if you plug your phone into USB cable it will charge and act as a media drive.
I think you can now get MDI to microUSB cables so you could plug the phone in direct.
