Just wondering if anyone could help I want to get some new springs for my scirroco as the standard one sale the car sit to high only want to drop it slightly so that there's like and inch or two between the tyre and the arch any suggestions?

Either H&R or Eibach springs will do what you want and give a 25mm - 40mm drop.

A quick search will come up with the part numbers you require for your model based on kerb weight.

No, you won't need to change the shocks, assuming they are in good condition.

I've got a set of virtually brand new H&R springs for sale. Covered less then 3k miles.

He's got the wrong engine and box sadly Andy - assuming yours are for a manual 2.0 tsi?

I've got the 2.0 tdi 170 not sure how much to drop it don't want it to low that I have to take speed bumps sideways [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND COLD SWEAT]

What does the engine and box have to do with springs? All sciroccos will use the same control arms, top mounts etc and I'd bet almost anything a 2.0 tdi and TSI would use the very same suspension.

Different axle weights / kerb weights meaning different spring rates. There are 2 spring fitments for the Scirocco based on whether the weight is less than or greater than 1050kg.
