Chrome Exhaust Tips
Just bought some Skoda Yeti exhaust tips for my 2.0TDI R Line. Cost me £25.99.
They look great but unsure how to go about fitting them as I don't want to do any unfixable damage. Would appreciate help!

Block of wood (a soft wood preferably) and a hammer. Used the wood as a buffer between the tips and the hammer and just tap them on slowly. They can be tapped off to if needed.

Re: Chrome Exhaust Tips
Hello all, I tried to fit my yeti tips today and no matter how hard I whacked I could get them to lock in place. I thought I'd done it a couple of times but then with a firm pull they just came off again!
What did i do wrong? One of them looks unchanged inside and the other one the clips look a bit out of shape.
Do I need to drill a hole and use a screw like the VW ones now?
I would appreciate any pointers.
Cheers

Re: Chrome Exhaust Tips
They look fine, though it's hard to tell. They need to be pretty much the whole way on. Also remember both your exhaust six the chrome tips have an angled tip on them so this needs lined up for a good fit too.

Re: Chrome Exhaust Tips
Why buy tight fitting yeti trims?...you can get scirocco ones nowadays. I got some for £15 delivered off flea bay..and they slipped on lovely...no hammers were harmed in the making of this story!
Most scirocco's are all the same but some are different...
