After my APR stage 1, I was only running at 175bhp, when APR expect around 204bhp on this model.
As well as the fact that i wasn't running good fuel at the time of the dyno run, the garage suggested it might be the N75 valve (boost solenoid valve), has anyone else encountered any issues with this?
I have a DSG. The noise at lower revs and during early acceleration sounds a bit like a diesel, which doesn't sound right, is this an effect of a misfunctioning N75?
I've bought the replacement valve but yet to install it, does anyone know if it is much of a job ??
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Help required - 1.4 160bhp (apr stage 1)
I've just had the same map put on my 1.4 TSI 160 (APR Stage 1).
I have achieved the full power, but have run into misfire issues at full throttle at full load - but only when its raining/damp weather.
Have already done many upgrade prior to the map (new revision fuel injectors, higher output hp fuel pump, S3 intercooler, sparks and new revision coil packs, GFB DV+).
The problem with the APR stage 1 map for this engine, is its more like a stage 2 - its very aggressive low down, far more so than a revo stage 1 map.
You may run into the same misfire issues as I have - as it stands the boost pressures this map pulls put the sparks and coils on the edge of operation and all it takes is some humidity and you get misfires.
To fix my misfires I have just ordered Audi R8 coil packs and an adapter plate from Greece - the higher discharge voltage should solve my misfire problems.
Anyway, as for the issue you have - if it is the N75 it is easy to get to and replace, just a couple of screw bolts, hose and connector.
Its right on the top, attached to the PCV valve assembly above the coil packs.
Once you get your power/boost issues sorted do keep an eye out for misfires (helpful if you can log with VCDS) - make sure you also have fresh sparks and if genuine VW make sure they are the latest revision 03C905601B or NGK SIZFR6B8EG.
Fitting NGK BKR7EIX is also an option (although they are a heat range colder and also slightly shorter...revo recommend them but my experiments show they coke up a bit too easily if you drive normally for a while, also idle is more lumpy)

Okay mate thanks.
So what do you recommend, the VW sparks or NGK?
What year is your car mate? Mine is 2012(61), which I think is when they brought out a new revision of sparks ?

Mines a 2010 - which is why i changed the injectors, HP fuel pump and coils to the latest revision which your car will already have
Yeah your car probably came with the iridium 03C905601B sparks, but i assume they have been changed in a service since then.
If the current sparks have more than 20k miles on them i would change them again to be sure with a apr remap.
Genuine VW 03C905601B or NGK SIZFR6B8EG i recommend (they are exactly the same).
I just bought a new set of NGK SIZFR6B8EG from http://www.opieoils.co.uk/

- 4 sparks with shipping cost me £38.32 - which is cheap for these particular sparks as they pretty expensive elsewhere.
